This is my second Grady Hendrix book and he definitely has a unique style and grotesque humor. These ladies are over the top. Rather than sexism, it's just kitschy humor. At least until it gets bloody and gory. Like he says in the introduction, this story is what it looks like when you pit Dracula against a bunch of moms who will do whatever it takes for their families while attempting to keep up every appearance of propriety, even against their better judgement.
