Such an intriguing title but, for me anyway, the book did not quite live up to it. There were a lot of botanists but I can only recall one party and two possible poisons.

Set in the University College of London in 1923, the main character is Saffron Everleigh. She is the first woman research assistant appointed there and she feels her position as a woman in a man's world very strongly.
