Updating my review, because I was in a much more fitting headspace this time around.
I can't quite put my finger on what it is exactly that gives this book such a unique feeling, and why it is so comforting for me. It's an emotion that isn't easily described with a word. There is a constant feeling of dread, because the comet is coming, and this dread seeps into everything - but there is also adventure and beauty, and those two forces combine to make for a read that is genuine, authentic and hope ...more
