For a while it was funny in its misbegotten stereotypes, technical datedness, really weird hate for the country of Spain, the third-grade reading level ...
Anyway, this sat by my reading chair for months, two-thirds finished. The used copy I bought had a folded page quite close to the end, indicating that I'm not the only reader to throw in the towel on this one. How can a book with such short chapters be so unreadable?
