I did enjoy it. I am a huge fan of the films [and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy films] and I wanted to know what happens in the last part before the final film is released. I know that this particular book is aimed at young kids [well, I'd say 12 - 16] so I was not expecting it to be EPIC and graphic fights. There are notable differences to the book and films, but I think the differences work, especially for the films.
