This was really sweet! The love Olia had for her family (+ for her baby sister in particular) was really lovely to read, and I'd be happy to give this to any of the children in my life. Great messages about family, friendship, courage, the importance of people over material items, etc.
Unfortunately, however, I think the book might be too long for the plot, especially if it's trying to capture the attention of young readers. ...more

I'm giving this one a 5 star rating because much like the other books in this series the atmosphere and magic in this story were perfect. However, personal preference I don't believe I loved this book as much as I loved The Girl Who Speaks Bear and The House with Chicken Legs.
