What Members Thought
I’m glad I had the chance to read this book after the hype and buzz had subsided. There are many valuable lessons in this story relating to: the complexity of decisions in life, conflict that rises in the event of abandoned commitment, fear of oblivion, and marriage’s place in love (and vice versa). My greatest qualm with the work is that, while characters were thoroughly developed, they weren’t developed in a way that caused me to become connected and attached to any one character. I’m not sure

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed the writing in this book. I found the characters (especially Celestial) frustrating at times, but they were all flawed humans and as such, came across as believable and fully fleshed out. I never stopped caring about them. As an Atlanta native, I enjoyed the references to places around the city, but I wonder if readers not familiar with the city get much from them. I highly recommend the audio as the narrators add a lot to the narrative.
