Toni Morrison said "This is required reading" and I agree. With the recent Trump election it is more so than ever!
Books give the reader a glimpse into other worlds and other lives - and this book does that so well it's heartbreaking. It made me feel greatful for the relative safety of my life in NZ and that I live with little fear.
