I’ve heard about The Night Circus for years and I’m happy to have finally see what’s all the fuss about. And I ended up really liking it. The atmosphere, the intrigue, the magic was all there. 15 yo me would have loved it.

I am glad that I gave this book a second chance.

I dnf'd years ago due to the second person, present tense perspective that just rubbed me up the wrong way. Luckily second person was used sparingly and I got used to the present tense.

Once I got over that I was able to absorb myself in this original and creative book all about magic and the imagination. The author does a great job of portraying setting and bringing the story alive for the reader. On that count I cannot fault this book. I did, how ...more
