I love that even after all this time, it's still like coming home. I don't think it's perfect (Really, so many things that make ZERO sense...), nor do I particularly like Harry (yes. There. I said it 😁). But every time I re-read it I remember how it made me feel when I read it for the first time. Fifth reread. Clever and fun. I’d forgotten quite how much I love Harry Potter. Rereading the series this fall to break my COVID book slump and revisit old loves.

I think I’m enjoying it more because I’m familiar with how it plays out. It’s fun to catch glimpses of scenes that had left impressions on me and reflect on how I view them now.
