This book was read to my 5th grade class when I was little and I was never one who was into fantasy or really reading (I sucked at it). So I never continued the series and just watched the movies when they came out. I am happy to say that it has been a long enough time that I barely remember what happened so I have started reading the series myself. I enjoyed this first installment and it brought back many memories for me.
Great read!

Everyone in my family loves this series, and for Christmas this year (well, last year.... 2013) I got the box set. My sister gave me the one where if you put all the books in, it looks like Hogwarts.

I am fourteen. I honestly did enjoy the book, and it was easy to love (or hate) the characters. My favorite was Professor McGonnagal, though I loved Hermione and the Weasley twins, and thought Peeves was actually kind of cute. It did intrigue me, and I will be reading the next book, and then books.
