This book is a re-work of the original book “Stamped” by Ibram X Kendi, which has been revamped to make it more approachable / digestible for a younger or broader audience. It outlines the history of racism, anti-racism, and assimilationists in the world, but focusing on the US

This book was excellent and I will absolutely be introducing it to my children in the coming years and listening again. It felt very digestible and was even funny at times, as only Jason Reynolds can pull off with this subject matter. Very, very well done.

I listened to this as an audiobook and I have to say, Jason Reynolds does not disappoint. I was very lucky to be able to see Jason speak in person and encourage people to check out his books. This particular title has a lyrical quality to it when Jason reads it, and really shares a lot of important moments in history that you may, or may not, be aware of. Some of the historical moments are not readily taught in schools today. Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaa highly recommended it during their session a ...more
