I inadvertently read this right after another Holocaust novel, but the stories are so different in perspective that the ending effect was very different as well.

I listened to this on audio over the course of a few days during my World War 2 fiction binge of 2016. The story was so likeable, and although it was a quick read, it still has a lot of impact. I hadn't heard a lot about WW2 from the Danish perspective, although it seemed similar to some of the other occupied countries. I especially enjoyed the afterword talking about how this story was drawn from true events. A great young adult read about the war.
