This book is going to take some digesting! By the ending (Oh what an ending) I was fully on board but it was certainly hard work.
The writing is dense and the dialogue is extremely Irish. I was very lost in the first few chapters but found my comprehension improving as the novel went on. The plot is also quite complicated for someone who only knows the bare bones of the Easter Rising.
