This was an excellent book. The writing was superior. Toni has to be the best writer to touch the inner soul of a person's spirit. Two young ladies learning to be Black in America.
Sula is feisty and seeks to leave the small town in Ohio. She never truly finds out the true friendship she had with Nel. Nel lives a traditional life marries and raises a family.
