Kostova is an excellent writer. I felt that this novel had a very eastern European feel in the telling of the story of Alexandra and Bobby and their search for the owners of a mistakenly taken bag in. They travel through Bulgaria in search for the owners. It turns out that the bag contains the remains of a man who died and as the story develops we learn more about this man and the political turmoil from his lifetime. I enjoyed the story but I wasn't thrilled to read it. I wish I could say I love ...more
