حبيت الرواية دي جدا جدا، وكنت بجبر نفسي أبطل أقرأ عشان أنام أو أشتغل، من كتر ما كنت مدمنة الشخصيات دي. دي رواية رومانسية عن "ستيلا" اللي عندها توحد عالي الأداء، وهي عبقرية في مجال الرياضيات ولكنها غير متمرسة في العلاقات العاطفية، لأن عمرها ما كانت في علاقة بسبب توترها الزائد، وبتعتبر نفسها غير مهيئة للحب. ولكن بتقابل "مايكل" واللي بتقرر توظفه عشان يساعدها تكون مهيئة لعلاقة حقيقية، وتدريجيا علاقتهم المزيفة بتتحول لحاجة حقيقية.
لازم أحذر القراء، أن الرواية دي للبالغين فقط، لأن English Review below.

لازم أحذر القراء، أن الرواية دي للبالغين فقط، لأن فيها مشاهد حميمية كتيرة، فلو ده مش حاجة بتحبوا تقروها، مش هتحبوا الرواية دي. استمتعت بتجسيد توحد ستيلا، وعائلة مايكل الكبيرة ومتحمسة أتعرف عليهم أكتر في الكتب الجاية. النهاية كان فيها بعض المط بسبب سوء تفاهم الطرفين، لأنهم الاتنين عندهم مشاكل في التعبير عن مشاعرهم لأسباب مختلفة. تعاملت الرواية مع مواضيع تانية زي العلاقة اللي بتكون فيها المرأة أكثر ثراء ودخلها أكبر من الرجل، وهل ده بيأثر على علاقتهم.

I loved this, and it's one of the few instances where I actually had to make myself put down the book to sleep or work, because it was that good and addictive. This is a story about Stella, who has high-functioning autism, she's a mathematics genius but she's never been in a relationship and deems herself a failure in love. Enter Michael, a gorgeous escort, who she hires to make her fit for a real relationship, but as they spend more time together, and she experiences a lot of firsts with him, the fake relationship starts to become real.

I have to warn you, it's a very adult romance. There are a LOT of steamy scenes, so if you don't feel comfortable reading long sex scenes, you might skip this book. Because this relationship begins physically and explores the emotional side as they go along the way, not the other way around.

I loved the portrayal of Stella's autism, as I have some autistic friends and relatives, and the portrayal was true, and her thought process was great. Michael's family was adorable, though there was some angst regarding his backstory, and the ending was a bit prolonged as it depended on miscommunication of feelings, but it worked in this case, as both of them had troubles expressing their feelings for different reasons. Also, I think they dealt well with the situation of "a woman making more money than the man in a relationship", family trauma, the situation of prostitution and its dark side.

I was hoping that the next book would still focus on Stella and Michael, because I loved them a lot. But I'm happy to get to know the rest of Michael's family. ...more

I really loved this one - super fun characters, great pace, great chemistry - loved Stella and her personality and her interesting job. Michael was great too as the male lead - very different from others I've read lately, so that was quite refreshing. I listened to this and I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more in print but I *couldn't* wait that long to get it from the library!! I will absolutely be buying this sometime. ...more

“How did one not obsess over something wonderful? How did one like something a reasonable amount?”

I now finally get the obsession of people with this book, and now I can understand why they react that way towards it. It is definitely something worth reading!
Don't be deceived by the cutesy cover and the title!

I'll just list down the things I love and didn't enjoy about this book.

I used to read romance novels quite a bit, well medieval romances to be specific and sometimes western, but it has been some time. I picked up Helen Hoang's The Kiss Quotient, because it sounded cute and light and definitely a bit geek and that suited me to a tee. I would describe it as Romantic Geek Soft Porn.
