Pride is being sold as modern take on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I dont think this is a good description. I guess I am in the minority but I have never been a big fan of Jane Austen. I think I have read two or three of her books and I found it difficult to concentrate with pages and pages of minutia. Anyway, Pride is not that. Pride is short and to the point. I was so hyped up for this book but it didn't live up to its expectations for me. I just couldn't get into the book, the narrative didn't hook me up and I didn't like the meddling sister who decides to stop her sisters (older and younger) from spending time with the new rich kids or having any kind of relationship.
