What Members Thought

When a certain section of this book left me feeling faint, I knew it would be a memorable one. A book that pulls the emotion out of its reader is always a good one isn't it?
Part I really drew me in with Mariam, then came Part II and I was taken aback because I wanted more of Mariam. Later, I understood why Laila needed to be introduced. A hard read but well worth it. Story about 2 women in Afghanistan and how their lives intertwine. A very powerful novel. My life is so candy ass lucky and peaceful and yet I complain about things still. Reading this has given me the nudge to zip my mouth. I am in awe of the strength and courage of these women, and many women like them in real life, to endure their day to day lives and still have hope and see beauty and trust in life and love and have faith in mankind and God.
