"There's been lie upon lie. All with the best intentions." This fabulous books deal with the nature of lies. Is it need? Tom and Isabel love each other, are good people, work hard and have had 3 horrible miscarriages. Can you blame a woman for keeping a baby that has washed up to shore in her lonely island? This story tore my heart out. I think Tom is one of the most loving husbands I've ever read about. Incredible gripping story set in a western remote island in Australia.

At first, I wasn't quiet sure about this book. It started off really slow but it gradually evolved into a gripping, heartbreaking story.
I sympathized with all the characters and could not picture a scenario where the book would end happily for all. Despite it being bitter-sweet, the ending was beautiful!
