total mind fuck.
I saw the movie before I even realized there was a book. I wish it would have been the other way around though. Because while reading, I had the movie characters playing in my mind and my imagination wasn't used as much. That is a fault of my own and not the authors.

there's some insightful, poetic stuff in here and a lot of examples of toxic masculinity. I can see why it became a movie. the writing sometimes felt forced to me.
