Aptly named, suffused with a sense of building dread. Sometimes hallucinogenic, sometimes poignant, sometimes heartbreaking.

4.5/5

This is a sugary sweet kind of scary. Like when a gajillion year old ghost child actually just wants to play with you, so y'all hang out and it's adorable. Long story short, I would totally raise all of these children and endanger myself in the process. If I'm going to die in a horror story, it might as well be by having an orphanage worth of bad decisions. Anyways, this book is so fast-paced that if I mention any of the plot points, it'll break the flow, and ruin your reading experience.
