this book was absolutely lovely....such a quiet simple sincerity to it, it actually made me mist up at the end and i never cry...i am glad i am not the sort of reader that really falls into the minutiae looking for clues to the ending because in this case especially, gradually finding my way to the answer to the 'mystery' was so enjoyable....i only give it 4 instead of five because it moved so slowly for me, which is not a bad thing, but was not an up all night can't put it down page turner...

This book makes me want to walk and walk and walk. There were times when I wondered where it was going and just like that it moved along again. I think we all need something to get us out of our ruts (whatever they may be). It was a moving book and I can't wait to discuss it at book club!

An old man goes for a walk. That's the entirety of the book. And it's wonderful. Beautiful.

This book explores grief and shame in a variety ways and it can be hard but it is also beautiful.
