At only 63 pages, Adichie is saying so much. I recommend women and men read this book. This book would start a great discussion on gender equality. Adichie is such a good author. She has a special way of writing about sensitive topics that others are unable to articulate.

This is a very important book for mothers and/or fathers to read who strive to raise their children to be strong and respectful people. I appreciated the fact that she gave examples explaining her suggestions in an accessible, relatable way.

Adichie offers fifteen suggestions that cover a broad range of topics from beauty to sexuality, gendered toys to female power, and more. I am always impressed and inspired by Adichie's writing; and in this work her clarity of thought it particularly powerful.

Short sweet and to the point. Just how I like it. Definitely had some views that were different than mine but what was so refreshing is it never felt patronizing or condescending. Definitely made me reconsider why I feel certain ways about things
