This is a lovely book with some wonderful messages in it. I liked the two main characters a lot, and I also enjoyed the light-heartedness of several passages. The plot was great, and this is so well-written that this book was actually a rather quick read for me.
If you like coming-of-age and stories of friendship with a romantic touch and gay main characters this could be a really outstanding title for you. 5 stars.

Quick thoughts in a mini-review!

The more I read, the more I fell in love with the characters and the story. I felt my heart break and reopen even wider (how cliché) as I got closer to the ending. I bet I'll find myself reading this book again to revisit this story that touched my heart. For anyone who ever felt different or who wanted answers for their many, many, questions as they grew up towards adulthood, I hope this book will resonate with you, too. ...more

I'm not usually one for contemporary books, but I have a few on my shelf, and I usually find them OK to read in summer.
It's summer now, right?

Anyway, to this book with the long—ass title.
I'd heard a lot about it from all around, but didn't really have any expactations — like I said, I'm not big on contemporary.
So I read it, and was supriesed at how easy it was to read.

The language has a flow to it, but I think it is mostly because the story is mostly told in dialogue — which worked.

Puede que el hype que todo el mundo ha creado con este libro hiciese que lo cogiese con tantas ganas. Hay veces que esto me afecta negativamente por las grandes expectativas generadas y otras que el hype solo me provoca más ganas de leerlo, en este caso, lo cogí con tantas ganas que ha sido una de las mejores lecturas del año después de mi parón lector. Me han encantado ambos personajes puesto que el autor consigue mostrar todas y cada una de sus características.
