Holy cow! I never expected to love this book. I'm not a sports person let alone a hockey person. Thanks to my Goodreads friends I took a chance on it. I'm so glad I did! 5 Stars for Beartown! This book grabbed me from the very beginning and never let go. Bang bang bang is still in my head!

In keeping with his other written works the author gives the reader another poignant novel, wonderfully written with many creative characters. What started off as a somewhat pleasant trip to a town that loves the game of hockey more than anything turned rather dark. The true character of many inhabitants were revealed and the story became intense as emotions ran high.
