A cross between Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Wonder and The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates it was a fabulous YA read. Really well done.

Great Young Adult book full of wit and insight into the life of a teenage boy growing up on the Spokane reservation. The protagonist's story is somehow both inspiring and very sad. His life is really hard and his family has a lot of bad luck but Junior is determined to make it out. It's a nice quick read.
