What Members Thought

I just finished rereading this book for an upcoming book club meeting. After recently reading a book by Temple Grandin an extremely high functioning autistic person I find it even more amazing that Mark Haddon was able to write a book in the person of Christopher. I definitely appreciated this book more than I did on the first reading

In the beginning of the book I was confused by Christopher's odd way of telling stories and solving mysteries, but as he went about his daily life explaining, and logically planning everything, I understood why he needed to be so anal about everything. The POV from an autistic child was really ingenious, and showed me more about autism and how these individuals respond, react, and relate to certain things in their life. I would definitely recommend this book to others. The way Mark Haddon wrote
