What Members Thought

Finding out more about this author's life is always interesting. She tells about the good and the bad and how she felt, and she always seems to keep a good outlook on life. It helps me to get over some of the petty things in my own life.

I think I had too high hopes for this book. It's a well written autobiography, and there were certain some heartbreaking or moving moments in Maya's life, but for the rest the story read like a normal coming-of-age story. Not that impressive, sadly. Next time I'll pick up Maya's poetry, because I am sure that has much more impact.
