I had to read this for our local science fiction book club and regret that I did.
I read the first Lady Astronaut book by Kowal and was so impressed. An ambitious book full of ideas, an alternate history where women play a key role in human spaceflight, clearly and effectively told. So I had my hopes up for this one. Which was a mistake.
