It was so easy, smooth and great at the beginning. I loved having Jacob around and I loved how Bella seemed to be getting a little better (even though her death wish and moping around was beginning to get on my nerves) but, overall, I really liked the story. It was warm, simple and with enough drama. Until the end when I was starting to get a little bored, and then Edward came back and I was thrilled. No tengo la reseña de hace más de diez años que lo leí pero sé que debió gustarme para tener 4 estrellas. Aunque presiento que fue por la película y las ganas que tenía de ver cómo concluiría todo.
Ahora con esta relectura tengo en mente dos cosas:
1. Bella tiene unos problemas mentales muy serios.
2. Charlie es un mal padre 👀 desde el primer libro lo noté pero acá me sorprendió mucho más.

I should say that I have seen the movies before I started to read the books. I was dreading this book, mostly because I thought it would be depressing. However, I was surprised that it was not as depressing as I thought it would be. I like the fact that we see more of the werewolves - due to the vampires not being there - and we get a bit more insight into the workings of Charlie and Bella's relationship as father and daughter. I have to say that its been a loooong time since I have been sucked into a book to intensely! I would have had this book finished except I took time out to read the first 264 pages of her predraft of midnight sun (that can be found on her website) and finished it today. I have to say that I absolutely love these books. I can not wait to read the next.
I listened to this on audio for the first time and this was my first re read since the initial release of these books. While I am glad that they released when they did because I think they really launched the genre of urban romantasy into something great, I just don't think these hold up as well as stories. The nostalgia is nice, but I think if I were reading these for the first time in 2025 I wouldn't enjoy them as much.
