Um. Okay.

This book feels like it was published in 2012, and not in a good way. I was really surprised to find out that it was published in 2019 because of how much of the content felt so outdated and how many tropes I thought we had collectively moved past?

Seriously, take a shot every time it feeds into the 'not like other girls' trope, the insta-love trope, the gay best friend who says things like 'sister' and 'girlfriend'.... I mean come on. The protagonist mentions that she ...more

Honnêtement c’est une de mes plus grosses déceptions de l’année. Le résumé promettait beaucoup, et je pense avoir mis trop d’attentes sur ce livre. Je ne me suis pas attachée aux personnages (J’ai détesté les trois quarts), l’intrigue avait du potentiel mais l’écriture à tout gâché pour moi. Je n’ai pas accroché à son style, ça a fait retomber tout le suspens et côté dramatique. C’était fade.
