Bird by Bird does a good job at sifting through the misconceptions, or idealistic goals and realistic goals of being a writer. Using her own family as an example, Anne Lamott references her own childhood and early career to help readers see a living an example. This was a really good and informative book. Anne Lamott teaches you great tips on how to write, in a writing style that doesn't feel like a non fiction book. She has a great sense of humour and I found myself laughing out loud loads of times during this read.
I will definitely be using the tips in this book to try to write my own stories, and I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn to write! 😄 ...more
