I downloaded this book because it was free and seemed like an interesting book. Not only did it turn out to be interesting, I fell in love with it! This cast of characters is so awesome. They are tough but loyal and caring at the same time. You can't put the book down afraid you'll miss what happens next. They become real life people. This is a really wonderful new series. I love the world(s) Victoria Danann has created and enjoy spending time with the characters. This series should be read in other for the maximum effect and enjoyable because each stories builds on the next and the plots intertwine.

This book got me hooked immediately to this series.Elora Laiken (the heroine) gets thrown through an interdimensional portal and winds up at the feet of a group of men known as Black Swan Knights. When I read this book it was the first time I had heard of this author and was excited to see what her story had to tell. I was not disappointed in the least. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster and nothing in this book was predictable. I fell in love with all the characters and their different personalities especially Elora's. Absolutely fantastic. Funny with a unique story line and fab characters.
I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I ran across this book. I was fairly new to the genre of Paranormal Romance. But I can tell you this, I’m hooked now & Victoria Danann is one heck of an author.

This was the first of the Black Swan series and it had me on the first 3 pages! You have a poor woman being thrown into a strange world so different from her own. Scared and not knowing what to expect the 3 vampire hunters called the B-team didn't know to kill her or help her. I really enjoyed the twist that Victoria put in this story. Accidental inter-dimentional travel, almost dying from said travel but emerging with enough super strength to kick butt with the Black Swan troops.
Romantic triangle that is settled in the end and leads to another book.
Elora is a strong female character who has her softer side..think Blackie.
It is a great start to a wonderful series...can't wait for the next book in the installment. ...more

My Familiar Stranger catches you from the beginning as you are right there with Elora as she finds her way in a familiar, but different world. She rocks B-Team collectively and Ram and Storm individually. I was right there with Elora as she works her way into the heart and sole of B-Team and her discovery of her tutor that saved her life, Monq. Victoria Danann has captured my attention and I can't wait to start book 2.

This book is of Elora, a princess who manages to barely escape an assassination attack by going through a portal which sends her into another world/dimension. Her broken body winds up landing at the Black Swan headquarters where she will recover as she rediscovers not only who she is but how she will fit into this strange new world all the while learning much about the secret society of vampire hunters known as the Order of the Black Swan, as well as to later become one of them.

I do not remember how I found this series, I only thank the book gods that I did. This series just gets better with each book. The characters you love are in each one, so you don't have to cry when the books end. Just start the next one. I find myself wanting to restart the series, because I miss them! I only hope the writer is working on another book and continues to for a long time.

This was one of the most amazing books that I have read. It moved along at a great pace, has characters that will grab you and you will fall in love with instantly and a story that will not let you go and keeps you wanting more.
This is a must read and needs to be on your to read list. No doubt about it.
