I was bored at the start interested at the middle and lost interest by the end. I was intrigued by the magic assassin school stuff but I had zero attachment to any of the characters and all the ‘plot twists’ I had figured out by like the second chapter. Pretty good but I won’t be continuing the series. Also the footnotes were distracting not entertaining and the way the male author wrote from the girls perspective was weird because it was so focused on her being a ‘strong independent woman’ but

The beginning dragged a little so it took me forevvveeerrrrr to get through the first book, but once I got passed that I really like this story. Excited for book two!
