What Members Thought

Same feelings as the first book pretty much - great characters and integration of Greek mythology, but it feels like each chapter is an episodic adventure. The prophecy sounds really interesting though and that plot twist at the end has me intrigued. Also, the opening chapters were some of the most genuinely funny I've read in a long time!

I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet:
I initially didn't plan to read this book today but I felt like continuing my Percy Jackson adventure, and I'm glad I did! I had so much fun reading about Percy and Annabeth's adventure. Honestly, I did feel like The Sea of Monsters was very similar to The Lightning Thief plot-wise and character wise as well. Just like in the Lightning Thief, Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson (who, in my opinion, felt like a replacement for Grover in this book) go on an advent ...more
