I'm now a Wiseman fan; I discovered this author after a patron requested another of her books (which I will also read), and I saw thousands of 5 star ratings on Amazon for her work. This one is historical fiction, set during WWII in Germany. The protagonist is not Jewish, but is punished by the SS for other crimes.
