What Members Thought
Paulette Jiles is now officially one of my all-time favorite authors. This historical fiction piece, about a former slave whose family was taken by the Comanche, was freaking amazing. The writing is so beautiful that I re-read lines just to let them soak in. This author does her research, and presents the reader with a story told with vivid imagery, honesty, and wonderfully relevant detail. The harmonica! Love love loved this book.
