What Members Thought
This book is definitely groundbreaking and well-researched, and I thought the last chapter offered an excellent conclusion to the information and case laid out in the previous chapters. However, the book's focus on only Black men leaves out the experiences of Black cisgender women and Black trans people. As Michelle Alexander makes the argument that we can't expect a "trickle-down" approach to justice to be effective, we must uplift the experiences of those with the most marginalized identities
