I'm on page 17 of 288 of My Year of Running: I can only hope this book improves considerably. Egads, his efforts at humor are unbelievably flat if not painful and downright cringeworthy. And his unsuccessful efforts at humor dominate the writing to this point that he focuses on this to the exclusion of telling the story.
