What Members Thought
There was not one single character in this book that I liked. Well maybe I liked Wallace a bit but that was more pity than actual affection. I just wanted to slap every one of them. Made me wish I could get on an airplane and leave them just like the mother did in the beginning.
I look at all these reviews and I'm perplexed as to what people liked about this book? It's full of distasteful and unlikeable characters. The plot is depressing and truthfully, once I put it down, I hated to pick it up again. I'm a little more than halfway through, and I just grit my teeth at the idea of picking it up again.
