Solid Gold Read

Meghan Quinn is a goddess, her ability to engage a reader is phenomenal. I can’t even begin to explain the outbursts of laughter this story delivered. The looks from my family said it all!

Fake fiancé, fake pregnancy, what could possibly go wrong? 🤔

The Lamaze class? Um yes. That whole scenario was visually hilarious. I pictured it clearly. The breast pump scene? Kill me now!!! 🤣🤣🤣

It was hard giving this a 3. It's probably more of a 3.5, but It was definitely not a 4. And the reasons are;

1. Huxley didn't think beyond the business deal. What was he going to say when he had the deal and Lottie was no longer in his life. Did he have an exit story?

2. Huxley kept telling his brothers that it couldn't have been Lottie, yet he went home and dumped on her right away.

3. the story dragged in a lot of places. Even though there were moments of great hilarity, to the point of laughing ...more

The smex is Hot.

The premise is cute.

The characters are not. Well, Huxley is hot occasionally, Lottie is neither hot nor cute and the writing made them seem much younger then they are told to be in the book. The end confrontation with her friend had me thinking it was a 12 year old's fanfiction attempt...
