I liked it. But it was different. Not just the fact that the characters were younger ( I don't do YA) but also, the writing, the whole setup. The novella felt more IA then this did and there Catalina was even younger so its not just the age thing? Also I love the Baylor family dynamics but here they felt a bit off for me (kill me right now, I feel like such a frickin traitor for saying this).

2025 relisten: It's been awhile. Repeat warning: This is UF not Romance. But, the whole hidden legacy series is made up of interlocking trilogies and this is the first book in the second set. Two more to come. Catalina is grown up and in charge. Great plot, interesting side characters.

No, seriously...how long do I have to wait?

This was my first venture into this magical society. Urbane fantasy and romance woven in a perfect blend with a touch of vengeance and insane wrath. Loved it.
