The Hooker and The Hermit had me “hooked” from the very first page. It has to be one of the most intelligent and witty romances I have ever read!
Annie Cartel is a walking contradiction. She works as a consultant making over celebrity’s images, yet she has very little social interactions with people. A first for me by both authors, and boy what a lovely surprise.
I will admit that I didn't know what a hooker was, but I knew right away it didn't refer to Annie. I had to go online before reading to find out which sport had a position with the name. I didn't read anything about this book except the title before starting it. I just thought that the title itself was kinda quirky, so in that case I would give the book a try.
So exceptionally glad I did!!!
