We have two romances going on in this book with the New Adult feel of Paradise and Creag and then we get to revisit Marissa and Butch.
Paradise and Creag are fun to watch in terms of training to become soldiers. The opening of the book is great! Their romance is a bit flat but still lovely with its class difference trope.
I might have been more into it if I had read the other books Paradise appeared in first but I read all out of crazy order. I feel like a genius for being able to keep track of ...more

I can never get enough of this series and this one did not disappoint. I like how new characters are being introduced to expand the story arc. I was kind of happy that there was a break from all the lesser fighting and throwing Wrath off the throne. I love the story but it was nice to inject new dynamics into the story. Loved it
I liked this book. A lot. Despite the meandering detour of what felt like manufactured conflict between Butch and Marissa. Their "revelation" and make-up was sweet, though. The main couple, Paradise and Craeg, are total opposites. She's an aristocrat. He's the son of a craftsman. They meet when the training center for Black Dagger soldiers is reopened. There's a lot more "backbone" to Pari than meets the eye. Craeg is on a path to revenge and becoming a soldier is his only recourse. Too bad

Every trip to Caldwell I love it a little bit more
I loved meeting the new characters and reconnecting with the characters I already know and love. So much was happening yet it all was woven so masterfully I feel like I inhaled and exhaled and it was over! I love JR Ward's books I absolutely devour them then I regret when I'm done and I have to wait for the next one. Love JR Ward, love the Brothers and now I'm loving the new class. Bravo ...more
