It was ok, not great. Nikolai Wroth is warrior vampire. Myst the Coveted is Valkyrie. She bloods vampires and then kills them. She has admired Wroth from his human days. For some reason, she bloods him (gives him a drop of her blood during a kiss), but does not kill him. The blooding leaves him aroused and unable to achieve release until he can find her, which is five years later.

I'd fallen away from Kresleys works. Not for any reason I can remember. Maybe time held me back.

I'm kicking myself in the a_ _.

Again, I find all area's covered. Angst, heat, sorrow, hope, love and even laughter. (Gotta love Nix)

This is another of Kresley's works I started and couldn't put down until down.

This little novella was incredibly hot! My Kindle keeps recommending Kresley Cole to me, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to read about Valkyries - I had a picture in my head of husky girls with horned helmets, lol! - but it turns out they are hot, kick-ass modern women who have just been around a very long time and know a few tricks ;)

The cover made me think this story was set much further back in time, to the era when vampire Nikolai was first a warrior, so I kept being surprised every time somet ...more

So, Just finished reading this first book and I'm definitely going to follow up on this series.

The plot is interesting and well paced from the begining to the end.
The caracters are my kind a people, warriors with a passionate heart, hot steamy and involving sex scenes.
