3.5. But pls will there be a time where HH will not make me cry?! Because every single time I read her works, I cry. Ffs.

I'm not sure whether I'm rounding up, because I'm unclear about at least one important point after reading this book. I don't know the extent to which Khai's belief that he can't love, and his related, intensely suppressed feelings about a key past event, arise from his autism. Such a connection may be implied, but I'm not sure (a) that such a connection is intended, and (b) if intended, whether it's likely.
