I DNF'd after part 1, around 45% it seems. I tried so hard to want to finish this after absolutely loving Cerulean Sea. I thought Whispering Door was just a tad bit worse. This, however, definitely missed the mark for me. The humor quickly got old, with the characters (both human and robot) making the same jokes over and over again. The first part felt so slow as well. Nothing but characterization happened for the first few chapters and it felt like nothing of note happened until around 100 page

I loved Rambo and Nurse Ratched a lot. And thought spotting the different literary references to be fun. The rest of the book was just okay.
