Newly arrived in the cesspit of a city known as Scipio, the young man Cassius presents himself as a gladiator, ready to fight for pay.

Tales of revenge make for the most intriguing read esp if you get it even half right. The Burning Isles gets more than that right. Featuring a ruthless, moralistic and righteous lead in the cesspool of civilization determined to right old wrongs, the book proceeds at a frantic pace interspersed with flashbacks of Cassius' journey and the lessons he learnt
Imposing himself right in the middle of a gang war, Cassius plays both sides while furthering his ultimate ambition. The action an ...more
