Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) in The Aaron Army

Shatter Me was so freaking amazing that nothing I say will ever justify it. You just have to read it yourself to realize that.

Nowadays there are so many Dystopian novels coming out that it's getting kind of annoying. The plot is ALWAYS the same and the characters just get on your nerves. However Shatter Me stood out because it has a completely different and new concept (Some people compared it to X-Men and it does have some similarities, certain humans have powers and Juliette being a combinatio Shatter Me was so freaking amazing that nothing I say will ever justify it. You just have to read it yourself to realize that.

However Shatter Me stood out because it has a completely different and new concept (Some people compared it to X-Men and it does have some similarities, certain humans have powers and Juliette being a combination of Jean Grey + Rogue, but that makes me love the novel so so so much more. But that's where the similarities end)

The world in Shatter Me is a grave and terrible place. It's a tough time for humanity and with the Reestablishment taking over, there's no chance of it ever becoming better. It's a very grim place and Juliette is right in the middle of it, trying to survive it as best as she can.

Juliette was such a great character. She started out a bit weak and scared but by the end, she had grown quite a bit. But she still has a long, long way to go. I'm glad she started accepting herself, when she reached Omega Point and found other's like her. She's such a well-written character and I thought she was really lovable.

One person that stood out for me the most was Warner. GAAAAD I love him so much. He's the main reason I started reading these books. Even though he's depicted to be the villain, he really does some shitty things. But there were moments of vulnerability, when he lets his guard down in front of Juliette, moments that made me understand that there's so much more to him than we realize. I am 1000% Team Warner.

Other than Warner, I really loved Kenji. Even though he appears more towards the end, he was such a comical relief, always making things a little lighter. There were moments I actually laughed out loud :)

All in all, I really loved Shatter Me. Everyone has different opinions and this is mine. I really loved TM's writing style, the strikeouts and the repetitive words. The metaphor's are okay but they really add to the story and the kind of person Juliette is. ...more

this book is interesting, the type of writing is soooo odd, it makes the read amusing and doesn't get u bored, u never get bored reading this book... i liked it..

yeah that was fun :P

there is just that sometimes the repetition of words gets frustrating, sometimes unneeded, like: Bliss Bliss Bliss , Broken Broken Broken ..

and what's up with the soo many numbers and counting, it made me laugh really,,, i mean

I actually had no interest in reading this book until a friend convinced me to give it a try and I'm glad I listened because I really enjoyed it. The writing style was very poetic and flowery, which took me a little while to get used to because it was like reading spoken word almost at times, but it wasn't very distracting. Shatter me was a really entertaning read. I really like the author's writing style. It was really diffrent and it helped me a lot to relate to Juliette and to really get the kind of person she was. Brilliant.. I love it. I love all the characters I love the writing style and the poetry-like lines that flow off the page in a sing song manner. I love everything about it.

Shatter Me
I loved this book!!! Its was simply amazing!!!
Its not rare that the lead female characters fall on my nerves, but I just loved Juliette.
Her and Adam definitely have lots of chemistry. Warner. Oh Warner, the things you do to my heart.
Tahereh Mafi is an amazing author. The amount of emotion she made me fell with this book is
indescribable.
I totally recommend this book!!!

Wow! The story is Stunning, awesome I so want to read more about Adam, Juliette and even Warner is so very interesting! Luckily there is Destroy me for now. 1. Adam. To me he was incredibly consistent and believable; his behavior and beliefs made him real and human. I liked him, a lot.

Juliette reminds me of Rogue from X Men with her ability to kill with just her skin (except for the super strength part).
